Chapter 4 of A tale of two cities
In France a horrible rich man (a Marquis) killed a little girl and later he himself ends up dead with a note on him saying "This is from Jacques" Charles Darnay (the man on trial before) turns out to be this man's nephew and doesn't have a good relationship with his uncle and Mr. Defarge (the man who owns the wine shop) threw the gold coin back at the rich man (who gave it for compensation for killing the little girl), and then disappeared...
So, who killed the Marquis?
